ESSA was contracted by UNDP to evaluate the Ho
Chi Minh City (HCMC) Environmental Management Project. The HCMC
Environmental Management Project was a three-year $1.59 million
USD project undertaken with the Department of Science Technology
and Environment of HCMC, aimed at strengthening the Department's
capacity to develop and implement environmental management planning.
ESSA conducted an in-depth, participatory, results-based,
end-of-project evaluation of:

the operations of groundwater and air monitoring
facilities; |

the Project's extensive training program; |
| 3. |
the Project's community awareness program; |
| 4. |
cleaner production projects targeting Small Medium
Enterprises; |
| 5. |
mechanisms for regional cooperation; and |
| 6. |
the Project's environmental strategy for HCMC.

recommendations for subsequent programming.
