Environmental Information System for the Republic of Trinidad & Tobago

ESSA designed and developed a computerized environmental information system (CEIS) for the government of Trinidad and Tobago, and developed a training program to transfer the technology to the client. Work focused on assessing user requirements, preparing a draft design of the CEIS, developing a prototype version of the final system, and outlining the implementation plan for moving the system forward from prototype to a fully functional system. The formal training program included: training needs analysis; course design; course validation; course implementation; and follow-up evaluation. In addition to the formal training program, ESSA worked closely with in-country counterparts throughout the project to ensure the successful transfer of the skills and expertise required to develop, use, operate, and maintain this and other environmental information systems.
