ESSA to support practice of climate change adaptation among professional biologists in western Canada

August 5, 2015

The BC College of Applied Biology and the Alberta Society of Professional Biologists have received conditional approval for funding from Natural Resources Canada for a climate change project. The project involves compiling climate change adaptation information relevant to biology professionals and disseminating it in the format of practice guidelines to help members consider the effects of the changing climate in the conduct of their work. The project is also supported by BC’s Climate Action Secretariat. ESSA is working with these partners to undertake this work starting this fall and over the winter.

Please contact Pierre Iachetti, Executive Director of the College of Applied Biology, if you are interested in being involved ([email protected]).
